Good afternoon,

My name is Katherine , and I am a Research Assistant for the Healthy Rural Texas Program. Healthy Rural Texas is a FREE healthy lifestyle program developed by researchers at the University of Texas at Austin, UTHealth San Antonio, and community partners to improve the health of families living in rural areas.

I am reaching out to share information about the program, and see if Alexander Memorial Library would be interested in collaborating with us. We believe your organization can help us reach families in the community who may benefit from our program.

Healthy Rural Texas is a no-cost, 12-week program developed by researchers at UT Austin that focuses on helping families build the skills and confidence they need to eat healthy, be active, and lead a healthier lifestyle.

The program offers:

  • Individual check-ins

  • Healthy low-cost recipes, and

  • Expert recommendations for physical activity and nutrition

Thank you in advance for your consideration in promoting our program to help families in rural Texas be healthier. I have attached a copy of our flyers and website. Please feel free to reach out via email or by phone 956-337-1052 if you are interested in learning more. I look forward to hearing back from you soon.
